About

Dr Kozlowski I would like to take this page to tell you about me and some of my past. I feel it is important that my couples understand who I am, as much as I need to know them.
I have been performing weddings in the Gulf Coast area since 2002, after moving down here from Maryland. I actually had my Doctorate of Divinity for quite some time, prior to performing weddings. In my distant past, I had struggled with life and wandered around looking for "something". I was raised Catholic (and consider myself a recovering catholic). I have been an active participant in all the worlds religions over the years. And in the end of all that "testing", I discovered one thing - it did not matter. The only thing that i have found to truly "matter" is that you have a belief and you live by it. Most of the worlds organized churches are simply a business thats wants money. True belief, of your chosen higher power, is in your heart. It is not in a building or in a person - it is in you.

As mentioned above, I relocated to Florida from Maryland. I had been traveling here weekly for a job and loved the area. In early 2000, my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given 6-9 months. After he passed, I evaluated my own life - which comprised at that time of a very mentally abusive marriage. I made the choice to save myself and left it all behind. I buried my father, got my mother situated in her home at the beach and got divorced - and I have never looked back.

During all this time I met the woman that has become my wife. She is my truth and my life. She is the reason I can perform the ceremonies I create. She inspires me; and, when I see my couples come before me, it is my own love for my own wife that is reflected.

Many who I married in the past know I took a rather lengthy hiatus. My mother suffered through pancreatic cancer during 2008. I had to take the time to leave the state and tend to her during her last month's. Her suffering came to end in September and I hold even more passion for life having been through it with her.

I live with my wife, our three cats (Alley, Bart and Tabitha), a Pomeranian named Jake and a rescued Greyhound named Dexter. My wife and I love to travel, especially cruises. We are always looking forward to our next cruise, no matter where it is sailing to. If you want to engage me in questions about cruising - please do.

I hope this little insight into who I am is welcomed; and, I welcome getting to know you as we plan your wedding ceremony. Take to heart that my past pains and joys have made me the wedding minister you will come to know as more than just a person that signed your marriage license.
