Frequent Questions

Are you a minister or a Notary?
Dr Kozlowski is a fully ordained non-denominational minister. With his Doctorate of Divinty, Dr Kozlowski's official title is Reverend Dr. Jeffry Kozlowski.

Can my ceremony have limited or no references to God?
Dr.Kozlowski never requires a couple to have religious references in their wedding. Your beliefs are respected and fully taken into consideration when writing your wedding ceremony.

How long does the average ceremony last?
The average ceremony will last about 15-20 minutes. The time is affected by procession size, additional actions in the ceremony, etc.

When should I book my wedding officiant?
Simply put, as soon as possible. After selecting a venue, you should be booking your officiant. Wedding ministers typcially can book more than one ceremony on any given day, so it is best to give them time to put you on the calendar.

Our officiant has backed out and the wedding is only days away. Can you help?
Typcially, we can help, but you need to contact us right away. Sometimes schedules allow for some flexibility.

Can we include our children or write our own vows?
Of course! Family inclusion is very common actions in a ceremony. As for your own vows, Dr Kozlowski welcomes couples to express themselves in their own words. You will still have to do Dr Kozlowski's traditional vows.

What happens after we book and pay our deposit?
You will recieve an email confirmation that will include a link to a special form. The online form allows you to provide details about you and your desired ceremony. That information is held and reviewed about one month prior to your ceremony. So if there are changes, that is not a problem.

Do we have to have a rehearsal?
A rehearsal is often times always scheduled to help the couple and their wedding party feel comfortable with the ceremony flow. It is not required and will be discussed with you during the planning process.

Should we tip our officiant?
A gratuity is never solicited or required. As with any service, if you feel the event was performed beyond expectation, a gratuity is gladly accepted.

Should we plan a place for our minister at the reception?
No wedding minister should require a place at the reception. Dr. Kozlowski will typically stay and mingle for a short time after the ceremony, but schedules are usually calling for him to move to the next location. If any officiant demands a place at the reception (or worse, a place for their spouse as well), please consider choosing another.
